What can I make with Patterned Vinyl?

What can I make with Patterned Vinyl?

Many of us know that you can make signs & heat transfer clothes with patterned vinyl & heat transfer vinyl but here are a few more ideas that might not come to mind for more project ideas.

Patterned Vinyl creates a washable surface, hides discolored areas, modernizes outdated pieces & can add pizazz to a solid colored piece. If it's a smooth flat surface, patterned vinyl will update the look & breathe new life into up-cycled projects for your home, office or vehicle.

1. Signs: There are so many types of signs you can cover with patterned vinyl & add text over top or use a patterned font over a solid colored background. The key is to make sure the surface is ultra smooth, clean & lint free.

Aluminum, corrugated plastic, foam core, solid PVC plastic, metal & glass all work very well for this.

2. Tumblers & Drinkware: Patterned Vinyl is great to add sayings to glass & mugs & a full wrap on a tumbler looks amazing with resin or to use as is. Our glitter patterns will save you the step of applying glitter because the Glitter is built right into the vinyl.

Keep in mind that permanent vinyl works best for this & clear laminate or clear resin will help preserve the design against scratches. Without resin the vinyl is not dishwasher safe. Since hot water releases the adhesive on vinyl, hand washing is best.

3. Vehicle Decals: Permanent Patterned Vinyl can be used on vehicle paint, on the windows, on vehicle magnets & on plastic & aluminum License Plates. We've also used Patterned Wall Vinyl inside RV's & Campers on the fridge, walls, backsplash & in bathrooms to update the look & to hide imperfections.

4. Home Décor: The possibilities for projects in this category are nearly endless! We have used permanent Patterned Vinyl to recover old Books,
Binders, Plant Pots, Metal Cans, Plastic Tubs, Cardboard tubes & many other surfaces to update & modernize their look.

We love to reuse & recycle containers using Patterned Vinyl. Perfectly functional items that you might throw out could be repurposed when you spruce them up with patterned vinyl.

5. Fabric & Clothing: If it's made from cloth it can usually be Heat Printed with Patterned Heat Transfer Vinyl. Tee Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets, Tanks, Onesies, Sweat Pants, Socks, Hats, Pillow Cases, Blankets, Table Clothes, Awnings, Camp Chairs, Tote Bags & Gym Bags are all popular but we encourage you to try any project that you can think of.

6. Furniture Flips: For a full restoration or just a quick update, Patterned Vinyl can be used in picture frames, dresser drawers, inside wooden & file cabinets & for the back wall of a buffet or wardrobe, adding color & to brighten up an otherwise dark area.

EZ-TIP: Use Patterned Vinyl as a Background with contrasting color on top or use patterned vinyl text on a contrasting solid color. If the pattern is medium to dark colors White Vinyl will stand out best. Use large or "fat fonts" since thin lines tend to disappear on a busy design.

When you ask yourself What can I Make with Patterned Vinyl? remember our motto, 'Vinyl Fixes Everything' so if it's a flat smooth surface, give it a try & you might just love how it turns out!
